Senior Parents & Students:

OK–11 more days until graduation!!!!  As of this morning there are 209 seniors signed up to attend Project Grad. Please read this entire email–lots of important information!

CHAPERONES-We need a minimum of 18 chaperones at all times at Project Grad.  Right now I have 16 chaperones from 10:30pm-1:30am and 12 chaperones from 1:30am-4:30am.  PLEASE EMAIL ME IF YOU CAN CHAPERONE. fastpitchfan16@gmail.com    nancyw28@aol.com

BAG CHECK BEFORE LOADING BUSES-All seniors’ bags/belongings will be checked before they can load the buses.  We need parents to help check bags and/or supervise students as they are in line or getting on buses.  We will start checking bags at the high school as soon as possible after graduation is over. Buses should be leaving by 10:15, at the latest.  PLEASE EMAIL ME IF YOU CAN HELP WITH THE BAG CHECK.

DESSERTS-cookies, brownies, Rice Krispie Treats, Little Debbie Snacks (desserts that can be held in your hand)

SNACKS-Bags of chips, pretzels, Chex Mix, Gardetto’s, etc.
PLEASE TAKE ANY DONATED FOOD TO THE FACS ROOM AT THE HIGH SCHOOL ON WED. MAY 18 OR THURSDAY, MAY 19.

SENIOR MEETING-Seniors will receive a Project Grad handout at the senior meeting tomorrow, May 10.  This handout lists the rules, times, activities and prizes.  Go to the Project Graduation blog to view this information.

ROCK WALL-Any senior wanting to use the rock wall at Project Grad needs to have a signed release form.  These forms will be handed out at the senior meeting tomorrow.  ANY STUDENT UNDER 18 NEEDS TO HAVE A PARENT SIGNATURE IF THEY WANT TO USE THE ROCK WALL.

BABY PICTURES/SENIOR PICTURES-It is not too late to turn in a baby picture and a senior picture of your graduate.  We will display their pictures on pieces of poster board around the walking track.  Seniors will take their photos home that night.  Please turn in the photos to the high school office by Thursday, May 12. PLEASE PUT NAME ON BACK OF PHOTOS.

$25 GIFT CARDS-We are still taking donations for $25 gift cards that will be given away that night.  Please let me know if you are interested in donating a $25 gift card.

MANICURES-Anyone willing to give manicures?? (or just paint fingernails)  We also need fingernail polish—any ideas???

PROJECT GRAD TIMES
As soon after graduation as possible–Seniors start having their bags checked at the high school and then load buses.
10:00pm-Buses leave high school for the Ozark Community Center
10:30-10:45pm-Buses arrive at the Ozark Community Center
10:45pm-4:30am-Seniors have FUN at Project Graduation!!!
4:30am-Buses leave the Ozark Community Center to go back to high school.
5:00am-5:15am-Buses arrive back at the high school.

THERE WILL BE A PROJECT GRAD MEETING WEDNESDAY, MAY 11 AT 6:30 AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY.

LAST PROJECT GRAD MEETING WILL BE MONDAY, MAY 16 AT 6:30 AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY.

Project Graduation Information

Project Graduation 2011 Rules

1.  Only Willard High School graduating seniors that pre-registered may attend.  No visitors are allowed.

2.  This is an alcohol, tobacco and drug-free event.  Anyone under the influence or possession of alcohol, tobacco or drugs will not be admitted.

3.  The expected behavior is the same as for any other school event.  Any unacceptable behavior, as determined by the Chaperones, will result in the participant’s parents/guardian being called to come pick them up.

4.  All bags/belongings will be inspected before loading buses at the high school.

5.  All participants must ride the bus to and from the event.  The Project Graduation Committee needs to be contacted if there are any special circumstances.

6.  If an emergency arises, where a participant must leave early, they will only be released to a parent/guardian and they will not be allowed to reenter.

7.  Please inform the Project Graduation committee of any special medical conditions.

8.  Cell phones will be allowed.  Project Graduation chaperones are not responsible for theft, damage or loss of items.

9.  Each participant needs to make sure they have suitable transportation home from the high school after the event is over.

Times-May 20—After Graduation

As soon after graduation as possible-Seniors start having their bags checked at the high school and then load buses.

10:00pm-Buses leave from the high school for the Ozark Community Center

10:30-10:45pm-Buses arrive at the Ozark Community Center

10:45pm-4:30am-Have FUN at Project Graduation!!

4:30am-Buses leave the Ozark Community Center to go back to the high school.

5:00-5:15am-Buses arrive back at the high school

5:15am-Go home and sleep!

FUNDRAISING INFORMATION

MURFIN’S SUB SANDWICHES-We sold all 200 sandwiches!  Thank you to everyone who helped by selling or buying sandwiches!

APPLEBEE’S PANCAKE BREAKFAST & CAR CRUISE-IN-Saturday, April 23   2430 North Glenstone    8:00AM-10:00AM
All You Can Eat Pancakes & Drink  $5.00–Cash Only—Plus–A variety of classic cars will be displayed on the parking lot.  This is our LAST BIG FUNDRAISER–so come out and eat pancakes and admire the cars.

PROM TUXEDOS–Get your Prom Tux at Paul Phillips (1519 North Glenstone at Glenstone & Division)
Project Grad gets $3.00 for each tux rented for Willard.

GOLF TOURNAMENT-Postponed because of bad weather.  New date is FRIDAY, APRIL 29TH at Greene Hills Country Club. 
2-person scramble ($100 per team)  Lunch provided at 12:00PM   Shotgun Start at 1:00PM   Cash Payback and Trip to Hawaii Hole-in-One Prize Package.  Please contact Greene Hills Country Club at 742-3086 if interested in playing.  Please spread the word if you know anyone who might be interested in playing.

INFORMATION ABOUT PROJECT GRADUATION

1.  Seniors need to sign up if they want to attend Project Graduation.  Cost is $10 which covers the cost of the t-shirt. Sign up with Julie Hartley by this Friday, April 22.
2.  Please send a baby picture and a senior photo (wallet size) of your senior student–have name on back of photos. (Give to Julie Hartley.) These will be displayed at Project Grad on 11″ x 14″ pieces of poster board.  (Anyone willing to donate some poster board–let me know!)
3.  Estimated time for Project Grad-Buses will start loading at the high school at 9:30pm after graduation with departure time at 10:00pm.  Seniors’ bags will be checked before loading the buses.  Buses will arrive at the Ozark Community Center at approximately 10:30-10:45pm. Buses will depart from the Ozark Community Center at 4:30am and arrive back at the high school at 5:00am-5:15am.  Please make sure your senior has transportation home from the high school.
4.  Mr. Gann will be attending Project Grad and has agreed to have some kind of a “texting challenge/contest”–this is still in the works.  More info about this later.
5.  We need more $25 gift cards to give out that night.  Anyone willing to donate a $25 gift card?  Do you know of a business that would donate a $25 gift card???
6.  Please let me know if you can be a chaperone that night.
7.  Can anyone get any food donated for Project Grad night–please let me know.
8.  We are trying to come up with clever games to play—such as, “Minute to Win It”, Trivia, –Any good ideas??

Greetings Parents of Graduating Seniors–Did you know there are only 66 day until graduation???  Please read this carefully–we have a lot of information to share about Project Grad. 

Project Graduation Night–In addition to the entertainment, food, activites and games, etc. that will be available at the Ozark Community Center we would like each attending senior to receive:
1.  money–amount each senior will get will depend on the final amount of money we raise
2.  $20/$25 gift card/gift certificate (Best Buy, Walmart, Casey’s, Staples, Kum & Go, Target, movie passes, Text Bucks, various restaurants, O’Reilly’s, etc.)
3.  smaller freebies like a car wash, sandwiches, drinks, tan, etc.)
4.  chance at a drawing to win a BIG prize like an ipod, TV, compact frig, Wii, microwave, camera, Flip video, etc.

IS ANYONE ABLE TO GET A $20/$25 GIFT CARD DONATED THAT WOULD BE APPROPRIATE FOR 17/18 YEAR OLDS?  OR WOULD YOU LIKE TO DONATE A GIFT CARD?  PLEASE LET ME KNOW.  We are working hard to try to get as many gift cards donated as possible.

GOLF TOURNAMENT-Friday, April 15 (rain date, April 29)  Greene Hills Country Club  2-person scramble ($100 per team)  Lunch provided at 12:00pm, 1:00pm shotgun start, Cash Payback,   $10,000 Trip to Hawaii Hole in One Prize Package.   Please contact Greene Hills Country Club if you are interested in playing.

WE ARE ASKING BUSINESSES TO SPONSOR A HOLE FOR $200.  THEY WILL GET THEIR NAME AND LOGO ON A  SIGN AT A HOLE. (Option B–Pay $100 and get name on half of a sign-would share sign with another business.)  PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU KNOW A BUSINESS THAT WOULD SPONSOR A HOLE–OR AN INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILY.

We also need volunteers to help work at the golf tournament–please contact me if you can work the afternoon of April 15.

TEXAS ROADHOUSE WEEKEND-March 25, 26 & 27–(Friday, Saturday, Sunday)  Just eat at Texas Roadhouse and mention Willard Project Graduation to your waitress.  Project Grad gets 10% of food purchase.  (We made $111.79 last month.)

MURFIN’S SUB SANDWICHES-Saturday, April 2   9:00am-3:00pm
We will be selling 200 18″ sub sandwiches for $6.00 each.  (our profit is $1200–Murfin’s donates all the supplies)  These sandwiches are DELICIOUS and a great price!  We need volunteers–7:00am-9:00am (need 8 people to make the sandwiches)  9:00-11:00, 11:00-1:00, 1:00-3:00 (need 2 people per shift to sell the sandwiches at Murfin’s).  We will also be preselling the sandwiches before April 2.  Please contact me if you can work—parents and/or seniors—-or if you want to buy a sandwich.

CHARITY BOXING EVENT-CONCESSIONS-Saturday, April 9   Middle School-6:00pm (doors open at 5:00pm)    Project Graduation is running the concession stand.  Please contact me if you can work a shift in the concession stand.  (Shifts will be approximately 4:30-6:30 and 6:30-8:30pm.)

APPLEBEE’S PANCAKE BREAKFAST/CAR SHOW-Saturday, April 23  Applebee’s on North Glenstone 8:00am-10:00am  Come out and have All You Can Eat Pancakes for $5.00.  We need volunteers to wait tables, bus tables, hostess, etc.

PROJECT GRADUATION REGISTRATION–Your senior should sign up for Project Grad with Julie Hartley in the Athletics Office.  Cost is $10.00 which includes a Project Grad t-shirt.

Next Project Graduation meeting will be Monday, April 4 at 6:30pm in the high school library.

We will also be discussing money/gift cards/prizes for students, upcoming fundraisers, project grad t-shirts, bus transportation and finalize times for Project Grad night.

Faculty Feud vs. Republic

Project Graduation Fundraiser—this Friday!!
 
Willard Faculty vs Republic Faculty in a volleyball game and a basketball game.
When:  Friday, March 4th  6:30pm
Where:  Republic High School
Cost:  Adults-$3.00   Students:  $1.00 w/id
 
Concessions will be available.   Paper airplane toss.   We might also have some “cheerleaders” show up!!!
 
NEED YOUR HELP–
 
We still need some people to help in the concession stand and at the money table.  Please call or email me if you can help.
Money table-need one person for 6:00-7:30 shift (one Republic person will be working with you)
Concession stand-Need one person for 6:00-7:30 shift  and need 3 people for 7:30-9:00 shift. (Republic people will also be working in concession stand.)
